beachy resortwear with a boho twist

Whether you’re actually on the beach or you just want to feel like you are, what you’re wearing can make all the difference. Xirena, an LA-based clothing brand, was inspired by Formentera, Spain, a small island in the Mediterranean, where founder Dierdre Roffoni has traveled countless times. From lightweight dresses perfect for long strolls on a boardwalk to chunky sweaters for breezy nights, Xirena—which means mermaid in Spanish—brings us dozens of pieces that would fit into any wardrobe.

Roffoni’s goal was to design clothing that would work on the beach, out and about or lounging at home, and her pieces hit the mark. Since the pieces are true multitaskers, we can see ourselves using one of the shirts as a bikini cover-up or tossing it on over a tank for an easy outfit perfect for running errands. If you’re more of a homebody, cuddle up in the lingerie-cum-pajamas (but we wouldn’t suggest wearing those in public).
