the most curated destination in the borough

Bird Brooklyn is known for their thoughtfully chosen pieces from renowned designers, but they’re a go-to destination to discover up-and-coming brands, bold silhouettes, and pieces for every occasion. There are four stores in Brooklyn’s best neighborhoods—Park Slope, Fort Greene, Cobble Hill, and Williamsburg (natch)—plus one in LA, offering store founder Jen Mankins the opportunity to share her sartorial vision coast to coast.

Mankins started out as a designer but the allure of retail was too much to resist, and she opened the first Bird location in 1999. Now, nearly 20 years later, it’s an established shop that’s full of sustainably made and thoughtfully curated pieces from eco-friendly brands the world over. If that’s not enough, each location—which is decorated to fit the vibe of the neighborhood—partners with local artists to create rotating art installations, meaning art is a floor-to-ceiling concept for Bird. Take a look at some of their pieces and you’ll see what we mean.
