Is there such a thing as beach brain?

On mind this week…

Is there such a thing as beach brain? Carefree days by the ocean have been slim on my agenda this summer. I’m in need of Vitamin D and a fashion fix from one of my favorite seaside boutiques — just ship me to Alys Shoppe for a dose of sunny chic.

Let’s be real. I have arm issues. And in the grand scheme of the universe, yes, I realize how ridiculous this is. But there is one style of sleeve that puts me at ease — the empowering 3/4. You’ll see why it’s my armor by way of the Ulla Johnson floral midi.

Food, glorious food! I had a blast catching up with the founders of TINAR (This I Not A Restaurant) — these guys are creating an insanely magical dining experience.

Alys Shoppe

Tucked back from one of the most beautiful stretches of Highway 30A, Alys Shoppe is a not-to-miss boutique in the heart of South Walton, Florida. With it’s dreamy facade and clean aesthetic, timeless pieces are the norm here. The first purchase I made at Alys years ago still remains one of my go-to tos for summer. Fresh white eyelet never goes out of style, right!?

Ulla Johnson Fantine Dress

I love myself a 3/4 sleeve simply for it’s ability to cover a multitude of sins that come with carb-filled summer nights. This dress drapes in all the right places. Drenched in cobalt blue with a side of picot-edged ruffles and handmade tassels, it just begs for another Tuesday night with my favorite dates — a baguette + salted butter, wine and cake.

This Is Not A Restaurant

Make your way around St. Louis’s Central West End, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a resident or cocktail lover who doesn’t know Kevin Brennan. As owner of Brennan’s, the popular retail and restaurant compound at the corner of Euclid and Maryland, he is the CWE OG.
